Wanigas Credit Union is proud to offer membership to the following individuals or groups:
Anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school or has a business or other legal entities located within any county in the State of Michigan's Lower Peninsula.
- Employees of Wanigas Credit Union.
- Members and immediate families of the foregoing.
- A spouse of a deceased member if accepted into the membership prior to remarriage.
- Anyone who receives a retirement annuity, pensions, social security or similar retirement payment from private or government sources and lives in, or belongs to, a retirement organization located in the county contiguous to the county where Wanigas' principal of business is located.
Important information about procedures for opening a new account:
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, the USA PATRIOT Act, a Federal law, requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
