Please take notice that, pursuant to the Wanigas Credit Union Bylaws, the Board of Directors has appointed the Election/Nominating Committee to nominate candidates for each vacancy on the Board of Directors. In order to be considered for a Board of Directors’ position, you must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a member of a credit union board of directors, credit committee or supervisory committee. Any member in good standing of the Credit Union who has attained the age of 18 years is eligible to serve on the Board of Directors. The Election/Nominating Committee will accept applications for vacant Board of Directors positions from Monday, October 5, 2020 through Friday, November 6, 2020. Application and related forms are available online at wanigas.com or at the Main Office and should be submitted to:

The Election/Nominating Committee will submit its report with respect to the nominees for each vacancy on the Board of Directors (“Report”) to the Board of Directors in December 2020 and the Report will be published in the January 2021 Credit Union newsletter. Eligible members of the Credit Union may also petition as nominees for vacant Board of Directors positions by filing a petition supported by the signatures of 253 (1%) members of the Credit Union. Petition and related forms are available beginning Monday, January 4, 2021, online at wanigas.com or at the Main Office and must be submitted no later than Friday, February 5, 2021.

 

Nominations from the floor are not permitted under the Wanigas Credit Union Bylaws. Where there is only one (1) nominee for a vacant position on the Board of Directors, the election will not be conducted by ballot.
